Coach Honeycutt, a NFHS Certified Level 2 Coach, began coaching at MCA in 2009.  Coach Honeycutt is married and has two children who attend MCA.  Outside of coaching three sports at Metrolina Christian, Coach Honeycutt enjoys playing with his children, managing social media accounts for running and baseball teams, and managing a track-related non-profit.  He also enjoys researching historical North Carolina high school track and field and cross country meets and contributes annually to all-time and yearly state and national track and field lists.  In February of 2024, Coach Honeycutt was inducted into the North Carolina Track and Field Hall of Fame.  

Team core values are inspired by Job 42:1-6.  Coach Honeycutt wants students to see God, use and maximize the abilities and talents God gave them, believe they are good enough to achieve and compete with anyone, and embrace the sport with a passion that spills over to life outside of the sport.
