This year, Metrolina Christian Academy will recognize and honor our coaches for their contribution to our athletic department and His Kingdom. We have so many excellent coaches at Metrolina Christian Academy, and now is your chance to nominate one of them for an award of recognition. All parents and athletes may submit a nomination. You may submit more than one.

In seeking to honor coaches who demonstrate exemplary traits and characteristics that Metrolina holds dear, we have put a list of “traits” below for your convenience.  Nominations can be based on the criteria below or your experience with the coach.

We need your help. This recognition can only occur if YOU nominate.  We will announce and celebrate at the annual coach’s banquet. 

There are various characteristics we look for in a coach…

• The foresight of Joseph
• The patience of Job
• The courage of Ruth
• The godliness of Elijah
• The meekness of Mary
• The humility of Moses

In addition, other qualities are inclusive to outstanding coaches:

• Motivates athletes to believe in themselves and the program (Nehemiah) 
• Loves the team and the individuals who make up the team. (Joshua)
• Communicates early, often, accurately and effectively (John)
• Uses a variety of methods in teaching and reaching student-athletes (Jesus)
• Demonstrates a passion for the sport (David)
• Keeps the big picture in mind and the game in perspective (Abraham)
• Provides discipline and accountability (John the Baptist)
• Plans and organizes (Solomon)
• Challenges athletes to excel and perform better than expected (Paul)
• Inspires those around them (Gideon)
